Exciting times ahead here in Amyland – as we get closer to the Lights Out release (date to be confirmed), it’s all go. The hardest part is knowing when to stop editing and tweaking, but I may just think that’s the hardest part because the formatting isn’t quite done yet.
But the cover is done, and I love it! I love how my name appears in an almost-Tiffany blue. I love how the nose of the girl in the cover is exactly how I imagined Sally’s nose (like many women, I hate my own nose, so noses are one of the first things I picture when I write an attractive character. Imagine what early scenes look like in my head – disembodied but attractive noses talking to each other and having sex).
Thankfully, smart people like Andrew at Design for Writers can take concepts from a writer who has disembodied noses talking in her brain and turn them into beautiful artwork. It’s worth popping over to Design for Writers’ Facebook page to check out their previous designs. They were so easy to work with and I am delighted I got my cover from them.
